There are numerous excellent restaurants within Disney World, Orlando Florida.
However, while planning your trip, you may not have the time to read countless reviews from different sources.
So I have done thorough research to provide you with the 24 best restaurants and places to eat in Disney World.
Read on to find out!
1. Whispering Canyon Cafe
The quirky restaurant within the Wilderness Lodge lobby focuses on humor and antics, skillets and mischief, and enjoyment and cuisine.
It's unusual for a Disney World restaurant to provide both an entertaining show element and comforting food, but you will find that here.
Guests are usually introduced to the show's wry humor, which is quite entertaining for many, though it mightn’t be as enjoyable for the reserved.
Their Signature Skillets are also highlighted and suggested for those with hearty appetites
In fact, Whispering Canyon consistently ranks among my top dining spots, and it’s essential to visit during the holidays.
As it's an outdoor restaurant with an impressive Wilderness Lodge lobby’s view, eating here during Christmas is a fantastic way to appreciate the famous lobby tree and the decorations.
2. California Grill
California Grill always stands out with its stunning atmosphere, elegant design, and certainly the finest views of the dining establishments at Disney World.
Even, the sights of the fun fireworks finale and the Magic Kingdom alone make California Grill an excellent sought-after dining spot that’s worth a visit.
At present, California Grill offers a fixed-price menu for their World's Magical Celebration.
You can also order their “Special Brunch”, which is California Grill's finest meal.
3. Columbia Harbour House
The restaurant within Liberty Square offers without a doubt the finest quick-service food in Magic Kingdom.
Note that they offer mostly seafood, though I believe there’s generally something for everybody available.
Whether you crave a nutritious meal or a selection of fried treats, Columbia Harbor House has something for you.
It’s also an excellent spot to get away from the crowds at Magic Kingdom.
Their servings are generous, their food is delicious, and they typically provide excellent value.
From their Grilled Salmon to their Lobster Roll, the offerings here are bold and fulfilling.
4. Polite Pig
Polite Pig is among Disney Springs’ most favored dining locations, and it's expected to grow into an even more sought-after restaurant due to its listing in Florida’s Michelin Guide.
In fact, one cannot overlook the excellence of the numerous Polite Pig dishes.
Their Baby Back Rib with the rub and their Layla’s delicious BBQ sauce remains the finest at Disney World.
Their Half Chicken and Pork Shoulder are equally impressive.
Though all of these are rather expensive, their quality is unmistakable.
The sandwiches here also offer great value for those seeking more affordable choices. Same for the sides and shareables.
5. Yachtsman Steakhouse
Yachtsman Steakhouse, a meat lover's haven, is the Disney World destination for exquisite meat selections.
This is obvious right from when you enter the steakhouse's entrance, where you'll observe a butcher inside a display booth creating some “magic”.
Yachtsman Steakhouse also oversees a luxurious environment, featuring stylish design, deep woods, and a chic and simple interior.
This steakhouse is elegant yet not extravagant.
It’s a classic steakhouse and you truly can't make a mistake with the meat selections in Yachtsman Steakhouse.
So, regardless of what you order, you're in for an excitement.
Yachtsman Steakhouse also offers other dishes apart from large portions of meat.
In fact, it's here that the enchantment truly unfolds.
It’s Walt Disney World’s most accessible Signature Restaurant, appealing even to “potatoes and meat” types of guests for a family dinner that feels welcoming or a pleasant date night.
6. The Boathouse
This is a top Disney Springs restaurant that offers elegant cuisine and an enjoyable ambiance.
In terms of food, the Boathouse provides a wide-ranging menu with excellent choices across different price levels.
Also, in addition to the outstanding food, this restaurant has a fantastic ambiance.
It's difficult to describe, but there's always an activity occurring here, particularly in the dock and main dining areas.
You can witness the harbormaster flag ceremony during the day, enjoy musical performances during the evening, and discover a wide range of unique experiences that are not available at other Disney World dining venues.
7. Space 220
I believe the food at Space 220 is so enjoyable.
The adventure here begins immediately after check-in, as you enter their departures terminal to board the Space Elevator.
The Space Elevator carries you into Centauri Space Station, approximately 220m above the Earth, aided by screens mimicking a launch from Florida, then an arrival at CSS.
As you leave the elevator, you'll stroll down an entry corridor featuring space horticulture, definitely a blend of Horizons and Martian ambiance.
The arrival here leaves a remarkable initial impact, and the Centauri Space Station seems genuinely authentic—drawing from my considerable experiences with actual space stations.
Entering their seating area offers a stunning panoramic vista of the Earth beyond the windows.
The food is the impressive highlight of Space 220.
8. Satu’li Canteen
Lots of adventurous menus are certainly a trend among newer counter service eateries at Disney World; Satu’li Canteen is no different.
According to the backstory, this place has been transformed into a tranquil dining area by the Alpha Centauri Expedition and decorated with Na’vi cultural and art artifacts.
The cuisine here is incredibly tasty, and a standout feature is their ‘build-bowl’ choice, allowing you to choose a protein, sauce, and base.
This enables you to select from high-quality, fresh, and tasty ingredients to create something healthy, substantial, and indulgent.
I certainly enjoy their beef with rich herb sauce and potatoes.
Indeed, the selections in Satu’li Canteen offer something for everybody.
9. Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace stands as one of the two recently opened restaurants in Disney World.
It provides exceptional rooftop dining that outshines long-standing favorites.
Since its opening, Topolino’s Terrace has turned into my preferred choice for a quality and satisfying fine dining adventure that provides excellent views and ambiance.
Although dinner is what qualifies it for this list, you shouldn't disregard its remarkable Breakfast À la Art featuring Mickey and Friends, which has become my Walt Disney World’s top character dining experience.
10. Tiffins
A homage to the adventures that inspired Disney Animal Kingdom’s theme park, this restaurant evokes the ambiance of a fun art gallery while resembling a low-key, sophisticated restaurant where wandering Imagineers would enjoy their meals.
Luckily, it is not a chaotic mix or a scholar’s refuge of oddities; rather, it is a thoughtfully organized art gallery having meticulous attention to details.
Tiffins' menu is charming, featuring an array of bold meals that are daring and representative of the central theme of the restaurant.
As started earlier, it’s the meticulous attention to details that makes Tiffins stand out, with every aspect from flavor to presentation contributing to its success.
There are without doubt many accessible choices available, but Tiffins Restaurant is an excellent spot to push your palate, venture beyond your comfort area, and enjoy a true culinary adventure.
11. Sci-Fi Dinein Theater
This is a preferred eatery for a Disney World-themed dining adventure.
The eating space here resembles a vintage drive-in cinema at night, featuring a big screen that displays sci-fi iconic B-movies of the 1950s.
In order to enhance the experience, their tables are vintage cars from the 1950s.
Also, the entire drive-in space serves as a typical Hollywood set, turning guests into the stars of the scifi B-movie being shot at this drive-in.
In fact, it's a tale inside a tale!
Their primary theme is quite apparent and fantastic, but that additional film set layer is something to seek out as you walk into the lobby.
Ensure you check the different small elements, like labor law notices, that contribute to making this place successful.
I really adore the cuisine at SciFi, which recently underwent a menu revamp and is presently significantly improved compared to before.
12. Docking Bay7 Food and Cargo
This stands as the primary Star Wars: Galaxy Edge’s restaurant, which also features Ronto Roasters and Oga’s Cantina.
Docking Bay7 is the sole location to enjoy a complete meal in StarWars Land, so you will definitely like to dine here.
It operates at full capacity.
Its themed decor is captivating and enjoyable, its menu remains varied and tasty, and it serves some of Walt Disney World’s finest desserts.
Regarding the menu, there is a variety for all tastes here.
Vegetarians and almost everyone will enjoy their Felucian Garden Spreads, whereas meat lovers will love their Smoked Kaadu Rib.
And those are merely two items from their loaded menu!
13. Sanaa
If you ask ten seasoned Disney World enthusiasts to identify three overlooked table service eateries, it’s likely that around half will include Sanaa in their selections.
Similar to Animal Kingdom Lodge’s dining options, Sanaa is cherished by enthusiasts and the majority of standard visitors.
Almost everyone I know adores Sanaa and expresses admiration for it.
It dispels the widespread concern that everyone visiting Disney World adheres only to the guidance found on online sites.
On the contrary, most guests actually engage in little planning of their own.
14. Sebastian's Bistro
This hidden gem at Disney’s CaribbeanBeach Resort is conveniently located near EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and various other resorts.
Still, it sometimes goes unnoticed by the majority of Disney World visitors, and this includes numerous longtime enthusiasts.
Sebastian’s Bistro’s family-style updated service always stands out and ensures exceptional quality comparable to traditional service table dining.
It is a top buffet and family-style dining option, truly comparable to Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Much better than Ohana and Tusker House, you will get everything here without even considering cost.
Indeed, Sebastian’s Bistro surpasses its rivals in that area.
15. Boma
Boma is undoubtedly Walt Disney World’s top buffet.
Similar to Sebastian’s Bistro mentioned above, Boma is enjoyable, has options for all tastes, and provides great value for the price (given Disney World standard).
Boma offers at least a dozen outstanding dishes, ranging from impressive meats to complementary salads, and all are tasty and ambitious.
In fact, Boma offers something for everybody.
Their soups are incredibly tasty and that’s impressive considering I rarely crave soup in Florida’s weather.
And naturally, every meal here concludes with their famous Zebra Domes.
16. Via Napoli
Via Napoli is situated in World Showcase, which is frequently regarded as the culinary heart of Walt Disney World and offers numerous excellent choices.
Via Napoli distinguishes itself in this busy landscape due to its impressive variety. It's not solely about its outstanding pizzas but also its welcoming nature.
Undoubtedly, Via Napoli offers the finest pizza "pies" throughout all of Disney World.
It is among the rare venues where I’ve eaten genuinely real Neapolitan pizza, complete with wood-fired ovens, imported ingredients, and water sourcing.
Indeed, Via Napoli stands out as part of the top restaurants in the World Showcase and it offers great value when seeking a perfect pizza.
It meets expectations and is a truly entertaining restaurant.
17. Cinderellas Royal Table
I often suggest this over nearly all the other character dinings because, for fans of princesses, this place is the ultimate Disney World character dining adventure.
Nestled within Cinderella Castle within Magic Kingdom, it is a must-do dining experience and it comes with a corresponding price.
It’s the kind of experience your children will discuss for weeks after, and it always leaves a lasting impact.
It's quite similar to Chef Mickey’s; a legendary experience with endless popularity at elevated prices.
Cinderella Royal Table remains unexpectedly excellent, offering cuisine that prioritizes fine dining quality (likely Magic Kingdom's best food standard or nearly so).
Its ambiance is equally outstanding.
18. Flying Fish
Exactly what Flying Fish embodies for seafood, Yachtsman Steakhouse represents for steak.
In other words, it’s the destination to enjoy superb seafood at Disney World.
Situated on the Board Walk, Flying Fish offers an ideal evening for adults, allowing you to relish the Boardwalk’s atmosphere after your dinner at this restaurant.
The atmosphere here is fantastic, featuring a nice open kitchen, lovely decor, and a pleasant bar that enhances the restaurant's vibrancy.
For main dishes, I suggest the restaurant's tasty New York Char-crusted Strip or their Red Snapper.
These two were once members of the Chef's Duo and they remain one of the top dishes on the restaurant's menu since its inception for excellent reasons.
Alternatively, I suggest remaining with seafood.
Dessert can also complete your experience with numerous intriguing choices.
19. 1900 Park Fare
WishMakers Enchanted Dining here showcases Aladdin, Cinderella, Princess Tiana, and Mirabel, all of whom embrace the magic of wishes.
These are Walt Disney World’s latest character dining experiences, taking the place of the Happily EverAfter Dinner and Supercalifragilistic Breakfast.
This change has sparked controversy among many fans of Disney World, who long for the uniqueness and appeal of the previous meals and believe the newer characters are mismatched and strange choices for a nice Victorian-themed dinner.
Nevertheless, this dinner contains a variety of outstanding entrees that clearly warrant its elevated cost.
Without a doubt, the standout dish here is their Prime Rib, which alone accounts for the price variation between dinner and breakfast.
Every other thing is just the finishing touch, and there are also several exceptional desserts.
20. Artist Point Storybook Dining
This dining experience includes Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen.
Artist Point's Storybook Dining offers the finest character dining adventure at Disney World when food quality is your main criterion.
Their menu is significantly more creative and ambitious than other character dining, but that’s not surprising since this was once a full Signature Restaurant.
Their fixed price menu is generally excellent and an ideal choice for those who prefer quality rather than the quantity offered at a buffet.
So, if you like the characters from Snow White, Artist Point remains a must-visit.
However, note that its selling points render it the hardest ADR to obtain.
21. Geyser Point Bar and Grill
Geyser Point is essentially an outdoor picnic area and part of the most straightforward dining options in Disney World.
Its brilliance lies in its ability not to hinder itself.
Geyser Point also stands out due to its stunning location in Bay Lake, so Disney wisely chose to let the surroundings be Geyser Point’s highlight.
I believe that was a smart decision, and I thoroughly enjoy being here and absorbing the tranquil natural charm of the lakeside environment.
During sunset or the Water Pageant, it is sheer happiness here.
Regarding its menu, this restaurant primarily stands out because of its Bison Burger, though its salads, salmon, and small dishes also impress.
22. Three Bridges Bar and Grill
Positioned at Coronado Spring Resort, this spot resembles Geyser Point mentioned earlier because both are concealed treasures and neither takes an Advance Dining Reservation.
Since Three Bridges launched, I’ve likely eaten here more than at other restaurants at Disney World.
I strongly suggest trying their Harissa Lamb Chop, Signature Burger, and Warm Churros, which are essential for desserts.
You truly can’t make a mistake coming here.
Note that Three Bridges is kinda harder to reach, therefore it might not be a top dining choice for first-time visitors or those visiting annually to Disney World.
Nevertheless, I still suggest this restaurant to friends even for meals late at night.
23. Skipper Canteen
Skipper Canteen has turned into my preferred Magic Kingdom sleeper choice.
Their menu offers an impressive variety, their dishes are generally flavorful and creative, and booking Advance Dining Reservations here is typically easy.
Moreover, Skipper Canteen remains a lot of fun.
Jungle Cruise’s humor, vibrancy, and diverse character spill into this Skipper Canteen, establishing it as one of Disney World’s most distinctive restaurants.
24. Citricos
This revamped restaurant, allegedly influenced by the movie ‘Mary Poppins’, captivated me so much.
Citricos' menu is outstanding, featuring refined Floridian dishes and a wealth of citrus flavors.
Their meals are creative, elegantly presented, tasty, and align with the essence of Citricos.
The sole disadvantage here, however, is the portion sizes and cost.
Still, the ambiance is a significant enhancement compared to the restaurant’s former version.
Citricos Restaurant's style is updated with design elements that loosely reference imagery from the Mary Poppins movie.
The transformation in the restaurant is an exceptionally fantastic enhancement to the previous menu and décor, and now, Citricos is nearly flawless.
